October Unprocessed Swag

Strut your unprocessed stuff, sportin’ some slick new October: Unprocessed swag!

Due to popular demand, I’ve set up a Zazzle storefront where you can purchase a few October: Unprocessed goodies.

Bring your October: Unprocessed Organic Tote Bag along to the farmer’s market, and then wear your October: Unprocessed Apron while preparing dinner! I’ve also set up a handful of shirts, mugs, and even a trucker’s hat. (They even have some organic/sustainable options.)

Many of them have fun slogans that are sure to help you strike up a conversation with folks about the project.

Now, before you get concerned that I’m going all commercial, here’s the cool part: Zazzle requires me to take a 10% commission on all sales (Okay, that’s not the cool part. Keep reading.). I will donate these commissions to the Alliance for Healthy and Responsible Grocery Stores.

The Alliance is a coalition of community, faith, and labor leaders working to ensure that all communities have access to responsible grocery stores, and the quality food and good jobs they provide.

As difficult as it may be for some of us to eat unprocessed, it’s downright impossible for many others. There are people in our country who don’t have access to fresh, unprocessed foods — people living in so-called “food deserts.”   Later this month I’ll be raising the issue again — but for now, just know that any purchases made from the October: Unprocessed “store” will take us just a little bit closer to solving this problem.

So go grab some October: Unprocessed swag, and thanks for your support!

A note on shopping at Zazzle: Once you select an item, you can then choose a color or style for that item.  If you want a blue ringer shirt, for example, pick the design that you like, and then in the next step you can choose a different type of shirt.  Same goes for the mugs and aprons.  Also, if you come up with a new unprocessed slogan that you’d like to see on a shirt, please let me know and I’ll get it set up right away!
